More Monster Bat Rays this weekend (Pic heavy)

woah, i don't know what ur smoking, but none of those were under 50lbvs let alone 70lbs. seein that ur on the east coast u have never caught a bat ray before. they are very dense and heavy. some big ones can be about a foot thick. just ask anyone who fishes on the west coast
 
Those things are neat looking. Would scare the willys out of me if I saw one one the water.

They look very different than the rays I have seen by Miami beach.

Do they have the ability to "sting" with their tail?
 
yuo can eat them taste like scallops ive heard not a fan of sea food myself

lol If you say so but IMHO if you actually used a scale to weigh thoses things they would not be any more than 50 to 60 lbs. And although your right we dont get bat rays on the east side we have cownose rays which are almost exactly the same.

I live in the city an we catch plenty of sharks!!! mainly leopards. Almost striped bass and halibut season.... can't wait!!! free minnows too!!!!:drool:
