More Moose on the Loose

And now that they’ve finished dining, a little relaxation on the front lawn. lol

When we moved into our house over 20 years ago there was a cow that calved in our yard every year.

Very cool encounter RD. Which part of Canada are you in? My brothers live in Dryden Ontario. Love going up there. So much wildlife, and I love to fish for walleye...

I used to have relatives in Dryden ON, all long gone now. I live in Red Deer AB. Named by the early Scottish settlers due to all the Elk in the area at that time. They confused our Elk, for their Red Deer stags back home.

How aggressive are these if you want to go to the car or go outside and get something from the garage.

A cow moose with calf, can be as dangerous as a bear. The ones in town seem to be a lot more tolerant of humans moving about, but I have seen what a moose can do with its hooves and it ain’t pretty.

Yeah I heard they can be pretty aggressive. So what do you do in a situation like that where they are just sitting on your front lawn and you have to get to your car parked right out front?

Park in the garage, in the back - and convince the wife how her vehicle is safer from thieves, parked out front under the street light.
