More more bichirs. One is "BLACK".

Here got myself two new bichirs and a marble knifefish.

Came from "Nigeria" skinny and pale

Bichir sp. "Black" Not a melanistic but just very dark.

Have any more pics of the black bichir? Could it possibly be a "Tinkinso Guinea" Lap? I have one that has the same color, and they seem to have a darker base as a whole.

Yep it's some kind of a guinea lap. Will take better pics soon as it hides a lot. Even the belly is almost black. Belly is not white or creamy white just like every bichir, it's dark gray in color. I don't considered it as a melanistic bichir as the patterns still shows on the fins and some on the head.

I'm trying to take pics of the "black" lap but it hides a lot so I just took advantage on getting these shots.

Thanks! You need to grows yours to make it a monster as I see the massive head in the making already. One of my congi actually ahve a flatten head so it won't like a monster. The other one however will surely have a massive head.

No full tank shot for now as my 275g had a cracked when we moved it out of the apartment. My fish are currently cramped in a 180g. I'm still setting up my 375g at my parents house. When it's done I will surely post full tank shot and everything in it.
