im getting a ornate and i already have a endlicheri bichir that is about 4 and a half inches long, if i get a 3 inch ornate will they be fine together, there going to be in a 55 gallon tank until they get bigger.

If they are similar in girth then they should be fine. just keep an eye on them for a couple of days because endlis tend to be cannibals at an early age.

Very Nice ornate! this time next year you'll have a real monster on your hands!! Mine grew about 9" in a year.

Hes eating anything and everything that hits the bottom.

Just as long as he isn't eating the bottom!! I know some people get away with it, but I'd never keep polys on gravel after watching my first palmas swallow several large bits while picking up food...

That ornate has some great markings. Beautiful fish ive spent the past few days admiring mine and its colors have not quite popped like your bichirs have.
