Thanks. Fish in question is a Banded Leporinus. Quite a monster. Did a lot of ramming and tail slapping before settling down.

Thanks. The oscars were a rescue from someone who thought they were getting a little too big for the 30 gallon and were tired of buying five goldfish a piece for every meal.

Seems to be hit or miss with these guys. Mine got aggressive around the 8 inch mark and would torpedo anyone in sight. After he got a little bigger he only went after the ones near his hiding spot. This is him hiding.

i like him alot ..i have to figure out alternate plan in case .. going to look for one though.:D
 
You can usually find them in the chain stores, I know don't say it, at about the two to three inch range. They will grow pretty quick in good conditions so yours should rocket to full size.
