Ok...So I have had my new 210 gallon tank up and running for a week.
I have a NEW wd sump with a rio 32.

I am currently running a penguin 350 gph (cycled) filter on it. I am also running a aquaclear 250 gph (cycled) filter. I used 100 gallons of my old water from a cycled tank to help fill it too.

I have been testing everyday and 0 nitirites and 0 amonia. Water is crystal clear.
My question when could I be safe to remove my old cycled filters and run just my wet/dry? How can I tell when it is seeded?

I have 2 motoros and do not want to have a spike in amonia and nitrites.

It is real annoying to have these filters hanging over the side of my tank. I want it to look complete....lol!

Can I remove the cycled filters and keep an eye on nitrates to determine if it is going to start a mini cycle and if I see a problem re-install my old filters?

I would add the fish and let the cycled ones stay on there for a few more days....

I have already added my fish they have been in there for a week too. You think I should keep them on for a while. Should I be able to tell by checking nitrates?

I think you should leave the filters in there for another few weeks. You can try squeezing the filter pads right into the tank even putting some gravel from your other tank into your W/D just to help it.

Are you getting a reading for nitrates?

maybe throw a bottle of cycle into it great tank bro, i would wait longer with the filters but would like to to see what DR Joe says

I just cycled my 450g... I had moved a xp4 from my 180g and it still took two months to get the tank cycle. I had ammonia the whole time.. The fact that you don't have any seems good, but I would definitely leave them on there for a few more week, then take them off one at a time. I have a TON of bio media in my sump.. about 50 total bio balls... so it took forever to get them colonized.

That will not do anything. If you want to go the biological supplement route i suggest you get some biospira from a credible online dealer...

Cycle from Hagen is not a product I recommend to you. It's and entire waste of money and time. Marineland Bio-Spira is the stuff you should get even though it's more expensive it actually works in very little time. You should be able to remove the old filters in 5 or more days with the Bio-spira. Just if you see incline in Nitrates you know your tank is cycled as long as no ammonia or nitrite ppm.
