I use a Python hose to do my water changes and I recently moved and the sink in my new place is really low pressure. So, when I try to drain/vacuum my tank, it takes forever to drain and hardly vacuums at all. Any thoughts on a way to create more suction when your water pressure sucks..er..doesn't suck?
Also, my first post woo.

Are you saying to syphon it out the window? I'm not sure that would offer any better suction. The aquarium is indeed right next to a window though.

find a lower point to drain to and use it tub, downstairs shower, window etc....

i find for refill I did away with the syphon part and just hook it right to the tap and feel the tap to get the temp right much faster and no leakage out the bottom of the syphon

If you guys are able to achieve enough suction to vacuum your tank by just syphoning out a window, then I'm doing something wrong.

dude just give it a quick pull on the hose

have you never emptied a gas tank one quick pull and gravity takes the rest

oh yeh not that I have ever done that nudge nudge wink wink

yeh fish water don't taste nearly as bad as gas LOLOLOLOLOL

I run my python out my window and hook it up to my outside spigot. This allows plenty of pressure. My sink would not provide the pressure either.
