Hey I know you guys say that most of the time these bites heal just figured I would take a pic and show you. The bite is on the bottom front area. He seems real scared and inured I added salt I hope that helps.

They have been getting bigger and I guess I havent been feeding them enough besides the fact that the tank is just too small for all twelve.

He's hiding and not eating :(

I bought one of my reds at nickel size that had obviously had most of his belly bitten off. It had mostly healed when I got him and has never slowed him a bit. For the longest time he was the dominant fish. I don't think you'll have any problems.

I named mine ''No Belly.''

He's one of the runts of the pack, and yeah I feed them 3, if not 4 times daily, usually small meals consisting of pellets in the morning, one shrimp afternoon and then bloodworms or pellets again.

He'll be fine as long as he doesn't sto peating. there is a thread around here somewhere that a Guy had one that got bit damn near in half and he stitched it up and it lived. He posted pics of it swimming and all after it healed and what it looked like when it got bit. Ps are VERY VERY hardy.

he will make it if he doesnt get eaten .if u have a seperate tank it will be better, otherwise the smell from the wound will surely make the others go for him as soon as he comes out of hiding

Looks like it's healing but he's kinda banishing himself to the middle top of the tank and not eating much or basically dead last. You can almost see his confidence is gone. Pray for him guys...

Tank size is probably the factor since your feeding schedule is good.
