I'm afraid this is not the case. The males can be just as aggressive as the females. I have seen this in my experience and have also read and discussed this with others.

when small there just like guppies.
i dont see any of them being aggressive in my p bass tank

You are sexing them correctly. But I would refer to it as the anal fin. The male uses this appendage to deposit milt into the female. A fish penis of sorts.
