Moss Balls?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive always had m. Moss balls. They lower ammonia levels and nitrate because they use nutrients, my ghost shrimp always hangs out on them and its the only live plant my pygos wont eat. Looks very cool and once full grown the ball will use photosynthesis to float on the top during the day and sinks at nite.
Pretty cool little piece imo

I keep thinking about trying them. I see them at Petsmart all the time, but just find them...well... ugly. They would be beneficial in my grow out tanks, though. I wonder if the Otto cats will eat them, though.

I like real over fake, for sure! Now you've got me curious. I will buy some today. There is a beta there that I've had my eye on, and I'm sure I could use more dog food. Plenty of reason to go, right?

do they need full spectrum lights & would they die under regular LED's?

Moss isn't normally a high light plant, so im going to say LED should be fine...
