Java moss FTW! In a few months, you'll have so much you'll be trying to give it away. Once it grows out long strands, you just kinda "mow" it with scissors so the strands don't release & get into your filters. Make sure you keep any clippings so you can attach them to other stuff & it will stay alive in a ziploc bag for a few weeks.

another tip for decorating ur tank with moss is to go get some plastic mesh, looks like screen, then pin some moss between the mat and it will grow through the holes in the mess,
and u can use that for pretty much anything like a background or tank floor,
right now im going to be wrapping it around my intakes on the filters to kinda hide them..
