Dovii's, Red Devils and Trimac's are 3 of the most aggressive cichlids, however, be aware, a Male Dovii can murder a Red Devil because of there monstorous size and strength however a female should be fine with a male Red Devil.

If you want something strong id suggest a Male Dovii but idk if id mix him with anything except another Dovii. Dovii's are something with a terrible attitude with a bite to match it ad i've heard.

YES! lol. My Midevil and jag are glass bangers. everything I read about nandopsis says the same thing.

But Robertsoni and many others aren't at the level of some of the more common amphilophus. Just saying that going by family alone might be disappointing for some.
