A full grown Red devil normally stays around 15inches a Red Terror[festae] can get 23inches..no red devil in the world is going to kill a full grown red terror! no way! unless the terror is ill.

And you hit the nail right on the head. Posts like this are totally without merit. There is no way to guage hostility or aggression based on a fish's name. I had a Convict harass a full grown Pacu in the pond to a point where I had to remove the Convict. The Pacu was fifteen pounds.
So what's the point?!
The real question is how long that tank will go without ultimate problems with water chemistry. Oscars are a South American Fish that require softer water than the Central American fish.

Saying one fish will kill another fish is silly because situation has everything to do with what happens. Spawning convicts are absolutely fearless. In the wild an interloper is just going to avoid their territory. In captivity there's no place to go so the aggressor keeps chasing and the interloper keeps trying to find a way out. The result is a stressed fish that becomes an easy target.
Why is failure entertaining? Build artificial ecosystems that result in success.

I recently put in a texas and my texas hybrid attacks him everytime he comes out. Its stupid and it drives me insane as i dont like to see fish fight. I dont kno if it works but it sorta has worked for me. Everytime i am in my room i see em fight i would sorta tap the glass to scare the hybrid and now he never fights anymore.
I gues it worked for my case lol ><~

If we are talking full grown, Umbie or Dovii just due to size.
If we are talking same size, Buttikoferi is savage for it's maximum size.
It depends alot on personality and individual fish, as particular components in the growth of the fish could alter it's aggression behavior.

Its not about what would kill each other really.Just which is more agresive.........We have to admit we do not keep cichlids just for their looks.They are nice looking but face it, most of us want the fish that isent scared of anything.
