Most aggressive aquarium fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'd say it's either a fahaka or a channa. People keep saying chiclids but I've kept most sa/ca with other fish and they've been fine given the space and as long as they're not breeding.

Get a 12"+ fahaka and try tank mates. Not gunna happen. Get a full grown jag or dovii, they can easily co-exist with other fish.

My 18 inch dovii will not except tankmates and was beating up on a 27 inch aro. 2 foot gar. Almost killed a 20 inch pacu when i tried him in the big tank so he is now kept alone

Lol that's an over exaggeration a full grown jag or dovii won't co exist with another fish easily, with a large tank like 180+ it makes it easier but dovii by no means are easy to keep with other cichlids

Im surprised nobodys mentioned the arrowhead puffer, had to be kept alone, completely shredded everything, or the African lungfish
In no order
(Predatory aggressive)
1) aimara or any hoplias, erythrinus
2) channa micro, + others
3) both hydrocynus, vittatus & Goliath
4) rhom
5) gator gar
6) wels catfish
} both eat everything
7) gulper catfish

(Territorially aggressive)
1) aba aba
2) dovi
3) jardini
4) flowerhorn
5) fahaka/ and arrowhead puffer
6) red terror
7) African lungfish

Big list , but it all depends on personal preference and what interests you at the end of the day. also always depends on the individual fishes attitude,. Temperaments always differ from fish to fish.
