Oh, and all those oscar noters, LMAO. You guys haven't been around many cichlids. The male festae in my avatar pic tagged an oscar I put in as a dither fish so hard that I could hear it on the other side of my house. I thought someone was knocking on the door.
 
like i said b4 jags will rule all with their aggression. I will also add that there has been no mention of pikes on here yet.....Pikes can be vicious
 
My oscar, RD, mayan, GT, black acara, texas, and severum were all bested by both my salvini and my jewel cichlids...to the point where I have to remove them.

I am thinking of putting some jewels in with my new salvini pair for dithers.

oscar: i have kept many oscars and they are kind of like that guy at the back of the bar.. he may be able to hold his own against perhaps some smaller fish, but as soon as the big guys walk in he hits the bathroom!

I had a GT that was keeping two Oscars twice his size in one little corner of the tank and if they dared move from there he would beat them down, I had to find him another home.

Also it depends on the temperament of the individual fish.
 
My angel fish bites me when i stick my hand in to clean the sand lol.

My arrowana is more gentle i threw a gold fish and he doesnt bother.
