Most Aggressive Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't really consider feeding behavior as aggression. So I would would vote for any of the big cichlids. Dovii:D ,Umbee, Midas/Devil, Jag.

These fish will brutally beat a fish to death even if they have no plans on eating it to me that is aggression

It all depends on the pesonality of each individual fish.
That being said i'll move this to the general forum.

I agree with Umbee and Dovii but as far as Devils and Jags go. --if we had a list they would be rated (devil, jag) 15 on the list. Oh and don’t for get about black nasty she hates being left out.

I have never had the pleasure of owning a haitensis or I would have probably added it whenever I have room I can never find one.

Devils and Jags vary GREATLY depending on personality the meanest fish I have ever seen was a midas/devil but I have seen docile ones too

Well the red snakehead I have had and the people I know that have had them as personality goes they are more Hannibal Lector so my vote is Mr red AKA Channa Micropeltes

I think we've had this debate a million times.. Check out the 'Pound for Pound toughest fish'.. Thread.. It's a good one :)

well from what i hear its the jardini?

Asian red tail catfish. Considered to be one of the most aggressive fish in the world, check planet catfish lol

Ounce per ounce the common stickleback is one of the most aggressive fish I have ever seen, If they got larger they would be monsters. Some fish that is actually pretty fragile but insane are the ichtyborus and phagos, they are not large and are not brawlers but will kill everything else in the tank if given the chance, I had a phago a little over 6" kill a whole tank full of guppies in just a few minutes and only eat a couple, it also killed a much larger pleco by blinding it, slicing off it's fins and tail, then slicing holes in it.
