I am looking to add some piranhas to my new 75 gallon tank, I already have a 55 set up with 5 caribe piranhas, they are get huge

What is the most aggressive piranha i could get for a aquarium that is not ridiculously expensive? either single or schooling them would work, thanks

uprgrade to a 180 for your caribe then worry about another fish

How big are the caribes that are in the 55?

elongatus.. They are very boring though.

Serrasalmus Elongatus are vary aggressive and they don't get as big so a tank that size would be good. If not a Elongatus then I would go with a rhom but you will need to upgrade down the road.

if 1 vs 1, then most aggressive is black piranha. but in nature, most aggressive is red belly because they attack in groups and they can do much bigger damage than a black piranha can do. And also for a tank, it is more beautiful to have several red bellies than one single black piranha. By the way choice is yours. If you have red bellies, you can see them growing with other red bellies, and also breeding. But if you have a rhom, breeding is something very rare. And also it is not good to keep 1 single fish alone in a tank for its life time. it is not fair for the fish.
