are you familiar with the concept of overstocking to kill agression? works with large c/sa as well.
and to answer your question, yes i have done it with these species and more. naturally there will be an alpha in the tank, but the alphas role (in this case switching off between a dovii and a flowerhorn) is simply to keep the other fish in line. in no way am i saying it works with all fish, but to rule it out all together is just plain ignorant. every individual fish will be different, of course. but my tank is working out great.

(*everyone*) and dont bother asking for a stock list/fish sizes/ tank size/ or any other specs on my tank, because i will not respond to badgering.

Yes I am aware overstocking helps to curb aggression but you never once stated anything of the sort in your first post did you.Are you aware overstocking can cause aggression as well?
Your first reply was a blanket statement and I quote
"nah. just throw them all in the same tank. they will fight a little at first, but eventually they all calm down"
Imagine how many new or less knowledgeable hobbyist would read this and then take that info and apply it to any fish they have especially when Dovii, Umbee, RD and Festae were in the subject only to find total chaos and destruction in their tanks in reality. If you call this badgering, well so be it. I call it trying to stop unneeded casualties in other peoples tanks.Enough said;)

have you tried it yourself? or do you say it doesnt work because thats what you were told?
it not a great idea telling people its not possible if you dont know. without knowing their individual fish... YOU have no idea that its not possible.

Well if your tank is a 6000 gallon pond sure this stocklist might work fullgrown. In order to believe that this is what you have in your tank right now pictures have to be shown.

Yeah, overstocking is not easy. I once thought it was the was the way to go when I had less tanks, but it only worked for me when my fish were juvees. Once they hit adult sizes, all hell broke loose. Some people do it though and some times it works.

I dont understand why you would let it kill all those fish. i think after the first 2 i would have moved him or taken the dovii or other fish to a lfs. or gave them away if the lfs didnt want it.:screwy:

first of all i didnt let him it was a over night thingim telling u he was the devil i mean this fish would attack anything tha hit the top of the water. i mean feeding the tank i lost like a foot of water each feeding. but yea that is over and done with if he was a little bit slower at killing them i might have been able to save more than 1 fish and the only other fish that lived was a small umbee.

an amture fish keeper doesnt go looking for newbie advise on "monster" fish keepers. they should be on myfirstfishtank.com. most of the people who frequent this site are seasoned keepers or atleast beyond the point of "i just picked up my first goldfish from petco, what do i feed it?" and i took that into consideration before i posted my statement. now if you took it wrong thats one thing, but it sure seems like youre just trying to be a punk about it. but you know what, thats cool too. it really doesnt bother me either way.
maybe you havnt been here long, so you didnt notice that this isnt really a site geared towards novice fish keepers, but feel free to take a look around our wonderful forum ad speak to all the knowledgable people here. im sure they have all kinds of great advise for you. not to say that new keepers arent welcome, lord knows theres more then enough very knowledgable people here to help, but rather, the types of fish and level of husbandry frequently discussed here are a little more than on an amature level.

Id agree MFK is a more advanced forum for the most part when I started out at fishkeeping I stayed mainly at AquariaCentral then gradually progressed to MFK all the info here was too overwhelming at first
