most beautiful bichir

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
is you can only get either a del or an endi....which one will u choose???kind confused one which 1 to get???kinda similar....

they may look similar but one grows much bigger than the other. so first it'll depend on the size of your tank and also the tankmates. also their heads are very different. delhezis have upper jaws slightly longer or equal to the lower jaw while the endi have lower jaws longer than upper. also endis have flatter head and also are thicker in body compared to delhezis. if i were to choose one and space is not limited then i would choose the endi because i think a 2-3 feet long bichir would look really cool. other than that you can't really go wrong with either one.

i have a 1.6 X 0.8 X 0.8 meters tank.....with arowana, flag tail , tiger dat , distichodus....planning of getting an ornate with either a del or an endi..... confuse!!!!!

get both! lol...well actually the endi might suit you better considering the tankmates will get pretty large especially the aro and the dat. the delhezi might be ok in there but i'm not sure.

with 1 black aro , 1 silver aro, 1 distichodus sexfaciatus, 1 flag tail, 5 tiger dat, 1 ornate & 1 endy...there will be royal rumble during feeding time!!! LOL i pity the feeders!!! esp 2 aro headache....

in what way is it the coolest??

I think the Ornate has prettier markings as far as detail and patterning.

But i think the Enlicheri is cooler because it has an awsome shaped head and it seems more ....dinosoar-ish. I guess.

I cant really explain why i guess. Just one of those things.

i hear endi are not as active as del...is it true??

Polypterus delhezi with its silver to grey background color bold black stripes and some even have a fleck of gold-yellow in them.Their usual body proportions make them one of the if not the most graceful of the species just my opinion-Anne

Since we are "Monsterfish Keepers", I prefer endlicheri than delhezi.

endi seems to be kinda boring...less active & less interaction.....except for the nice markings
