Maintaining fish that are harboring parasites in their tissues. Poor little betta ladies. How can I do what I need to when you're still so responsive and otherwise robust?!

Changed water directly from the faucet. (ours has high concetration of chlorine) Killed my beloved banjar red arowana! I just had it for 3 days.. :(

doing a water change and not watching what you are doing. (water over flowing) :nilly:

Done that one before, although now a days i try to always keep en eye on my tanks when filling it with a hose...

another common mistake i make is rushing out and buying things for my tanks which i may not need / won't fit in my tanks... i.e. decorations which look great till you get them home and realize they don't match what you already have...

Then there is the mistake i'm sure a lot of us made when we were noobs (i know i sure did) which is listening to store employees who have no clue what they are on about and taking their stocking advice :banhim: / :banher:

2. Rather than painting the back of the tank before setting it into place decided to use the black plastic from Petsmart and actually convicing myself that the small bubbles I could still see would actually go away or not be noticeable?:screwy:

That happened to me once. It looks like an original tint job on a 1990 Nissan.

planting a planted tank and waking up the next morning expecting the carpet to have grown over night then being disappointed when it still looks the same

Looking at cool fish but having a too small of a tank to fit them in. dang.
