I gotta love Aqua Clear 110’s… for $60 you get:

-A filter that literally move around 400 gph...
-1.2 Gal of media capacity...
-A nearly silent motor...
-Proven to many with proper care it can last for 5+ years...
-54 square inches of water/air interface (much much more if you want to start counting interior moistened porous walls)...

If I didn't need something to push ultra clean water through my UV lights I wouldn't own a canister...

Aqua clear power head with the snap on filter pushes ultra pure (down to 1 micron clear) water through my Turbo twist and I popped it open already to clean up the plumbing and there were absolutely no traces of waste in the UV's water column.:D I agree I love my AC110's I can pop bags of carbon and purigen in there and the massive sponge is an excellent mechanical filter.

DIY wet/dry for me.

I love Rena canister filters, but Aquaclears trump everything.

Eheim 2262, 2217 & two AC 110's on the 220G. Eheim 2028 & 2229 on the 75G. Just love them Eheims for durability and silence in operation.
