Most Expensive Fish You Had & Worse Rip Offs!!!!

Hard to say I paid $250 for my Hydrolycus Armatus each or it could be my Gulper Cat. Funny thing is I got him for a steal $70(they usually sell for $250 minimum)< but then he went and ate a $200 Leichartdi Arowana. Making him worth a grand total of $270 dollars if you include the Aro he ate. Ah well My stupidity they're called Gulpers for a reason. By the way I know it's not saltwater so I hope I'm not stepping on any toes posting freshwater fish.

Well since this is in saltwater I will say that it was my first saltwater fish, a lookdown. Got hom for $100 when he was usually listed for $240. They needed him gone b/c he was bumping into the sides of his holding tank. They had him for 6 weeks or so. I've bought more expensive FW fish but I think he is talking about saltwater.

Come on are you guys telling me that we are the only people that were ripped off?
Also the only ones you want to tell they current prized fish?

My guy at the lfs got a black bat fish. He told me it was a wrong delivery and don't buy it. I threw down about $100. Got it home and acclimated it for about 15 mins. Let it go and it swirled to the bottom like a dead leaf. I actually thought it was like protective behavior and went and got a soda. Came back and could not find it, save about 1/2 inch that was hanging out my anenome! Talk about your s.o.b. moments!

a sick 14" jardini who died the next day for 150$

guy said it was in rare condition and hed never seen one so healthy

well he lied and i was very upset at the death of my first aro and it was very discouraging to buy another aro and give it a shot
i did give it a shot and i got one the same size with no claim to health or rarity(pfffft a rare jardini) i was so stupid

i hate net buying, a grand per fish! dedicated!

lol...not sure about the dedicated - the other half just likes "exotic" things that rip other things apart and he just HAD to have them. Gotta love him!
