Most Expensive Fish

I've been fortunately enough to pay for no more than $35 for even the most rare fish...

I think i might break that rule once i see a good size EBJD...

$35 dollar fishes, Not all rare:

L-200 6" (alive)
L-190 6" (alive)
L-239 Blu Panaque 2.5" (dead)
L-014 GOLDIE 2" (semi alive)
Silver Arowana 11" (alive)
Jardini 4" (dead)

Quickist death:

$22 1 day EBJD (Sucked in canister)
$25 1 day African Arowana 4" x2
$4 1 day Bala Shark 4" (3sec) My Gar 5" gar ate it
$5 1 day Silver Arowana (7") got it from a fish trade at LFS...

AND

Various other Pleco from petsmart all 1 day... (only had 1 successful fish from petsmart so far)

Most expensive fish I ever bought was $260 for an Endlicheri. Yes I live in Australia, and yes it is stupidly expensive.

Below is a list of fish I have seen for sale in Australia both in shops and on the internet and their pricing, all in AUD.

PS. These are Sydney prices.

Bichir Endlicheri (Adult)- $650-800
Bichir Delhezi (Adult)- $800
Bichir Ornate (Juv) - $350
Bichir Sengeal (Juv) - $180

Red Tail Catfish - $250-$400
Tiger Shovel Nose Cat - $350

Motoro Rays (Juv) - $2500 a pair
Spotted Gars (Juv) - $250-$350

Siamese Datnoid (Juv) - $450
Thin Bar Datnoid (Juv) - $250

Silver Arowanas (Juv) - $250-$350
Green Arowanas (Juv) - $550
RTG Arowanas - $2500-$3500 (estimated)

Australian Native - Jardini and Leichardi (Juv) - $100-$150

So as you can see, the most expensive fish I bought is not comparable to many of the other exotic fish sold in Sydney. I could keep going on and on about the prices in Sydney.....

Just thought it might be good for all you non-australian fish lovers to know how lucky you all have it!

the most i payed for a single fish was $13 for a 4" silver arowana.
