I have to agree on the batmans....I've never found them to be that pretty. It's kinda like the deformed aro with two heads.....Deformed....

hey its my buddie gshock how you doing man.
they are dirt cheap in asia ,at one point they were loved but now they are treated like freaks and disregarded like they should be.i seen a leo batman get sold for $1000 and yes gshock i do remeber years and years ago when the batman ray was worth tons, but i feel sorry for who ever bought them.
explanation years ago the arowana farms were not breeding rays ,it took years for them to build up generations of their own prefered breeders.now theirs so many generations of captive interbred rays that once and a while you get a batman or two.when you have 100 second or third gen rays breeding with each other you might get a few batmans a year.make sense,how do you think all the insane bd rays are getting created? they are more white than black now,thats generations of their breeding techniques ie.interbreeding line breeding what ever you want to call it! all this breeding has created a higher percentage of freaks which now has been looked down apon.contact a asian farm about batmans they would love to dump a bunch on you
Asian farms are ready to unload batmans for cheap? Thats why they mutilate rays manually to recreate batmans right? You say it's inbreeding while DW says temp fluctuations. So which one is it? There has yet to even be someone to mate 2 batmans so how do we even know whether it's a recessive genetic defect or just a physical deformity from factors during pregnancy?
Yes the batmans look nice but i dont support the sale of them. Even though it is natural people like the look of them because it reminds them of batman. This beeing said this natural thing doesnt happen all the time and now people are cutting up pups to make them look like that. Why would anyone do that to a ray and be fine with that?

I agree with Vamptrex and diggin. Although a highly spotted p-14 with a lot of white can compete with a bd or thousand island for #1
i have herd it could be temp too, but that theory would create a whole batchs of batmans would it not? ask the asian breeders, they say its a created by line breeding.who knows the cause but after you breed 3 generations or more of breeding brothers and mothers and fathers and sisters than take their pups and breed them back again with its relatives and keep doing that ect.. & only one is a batman pup in a large litter? how can you think any different.unless their is big batches of batmans i have not seen?i dont know i just go off what i was told i have never created batmans nor studied or done tests and try to create them!
i know in some reptiles temp will decide if its male or female when they are in eggs.could be the same for rays i have no idea how that may work or maybe i have missed it

akara,Top stingrays ask one of these guys. My good buddie just finished talking to the owner of top stingray about it he said already they are freaks.look at his stock it's the best on earth right now. Anyways gshock i am done fighting with you
