My Jack Dempsey's have always been very interactive and personable and my Cuban is starting to exibit quite the personality as well. He comes to the glass whenever I get close and begs when hungry, flares at me and shakes when mad and sometimes just sits and stares at me or follows my finger along the tank glass wherever I move it. He is starting to get very aggressive, even with the larger fish. He is about 4 1/2 - 5" now and 3 weeks ago I had him in the 55 with the 6" Texas, a 8" Oscar, 3" baby Jag and a 4" Polystigma till he went on a rampage and killed the Poly and the Jag and tormented the Oscar for a week shredding his tail, fins and descaling him until I rearranged my tanks and put the Tex and Cuban in the badboy tank with my female Jag, big male Dempsey, smaller Dempsey and the aquatic glutton Caquetaia Kraussi...now he's doing fine, he's the boss of the juniors in there and won't back down from the Jag or big Dempsey unless they show him they mean business. He'll always take off when the Kraussi comes at him but I think it's just how fast and aggressively the Kraussi moves? It's bark is way worse than it's bite.
Cuban's are supposed to average 8-10" and top out at 12" so that'sd be one to consider...?
