good read, the 2 plecos I was interested in were mentioned, the 25 and 46. don't care for the 25, but there's a local guy breeding 46 in my area. I think a pleco will be my next breeding project, after my 2 CA and ray breeding projects are done.
I get $30+ for my 3 month old flowerhorn, and about $200 for six to eight month growouts. The only downside is the initial investment often exceeds $500 for a pair of this quality.

A 25 cent feeder is not a fry. It's more like a year old. Without the large dirt pond and constantly irrigated water, it will not grow up fast and be profitable. It is a whole industry like raising cows and chickens. Good Luck.
This was my experience. There is no profit in feeders. The volume required at the cost has so much overhead its insane. Most of the petstores in my area say feeders bring people in but don't keep the doors open.
RBP are EXTREMELY profitable. Everyone who doesn't know jack about fish wants a 55 gallon with a dozen in it. They die and eat each other because of neglect and then they comeback and buy more. RBP have been and continue to be the most popular non gold fish fish that you can charge real money for and moves in volume regularly. They require decent space and attention to breed though so not many people do it, competition is low but demand is constant.
Thanks for adding some new ideas to this thread! I'm still attempting to get my EBJD project off the ground. I've sold some fish but I've certainly not made a lot of money lol Right now I'm waiting for my gold and BG's eggs to hatch
