Love the second pic, wallago leeri ( the helecopter catfish ) very nice !

Danny check the tiny dorsal fin and the number of barbels-if I ani't mistaken thats a Wels. Wels have 4 very small barbels under the mouth which are light in colour-you can the one of them in the picture. Wallgo don't have these and I has a bigger dorsal too
I kept a small juv years ago and that photo is the spit of it. Gods sake keep the dog away from it

Looking at the eyes they do seem too big for a Wels-they have the tiniest eyes. Could well be an Ompok sp.
Either way son you've a big fish on your hands!

Yep. Just temporary till t gets big enough so my turlte won't bother it. The smaller goldfish are going i the pond too. Just keeping the 2 big guys inside.

Can you get a better pic of your catfish in the second pic? I am interested to see if it is Wallago or ompok species. Maybe a pic of it swimming or hovering off the bottom. Thanks.
