Snakes dont do it for me except for the australiain aspidite (Sp) I also like ATB, thats about it. My thing as you all can tell is varanids!!!!

Giant size pythons and boas. A hassle to feed and to clean up after... Also smell like death half the time...

Snakes do nothing for me. I like the looks of some of them( gaboon viper, Emerald tree boa) But never had any desire to own one at all of any kind.
Now frogs on the other hand is a whole different story. I am very partial to frogs.

I've never warmed up to snakes. There are some that are pretty cool, but on the whole they just don't do it for me. I enjoy working with them and everything, but I'm less likely to go and read up on them, etc. than I am with other herps.

i would never get a house gecko or any anole.

Not real big on "designer" herps. I mean I think some of the morphs are pretty cool but not usually an improvement over the natural in most cases. Take retics...my favorite is a regular wild yellow head, much more attractive than a tiger or super tiger. Same with leos and corn snakes.

I think ameivas are some of the most underrated lizards out there. A male green ameiva is a great looking lizard, and they're a lot of fun to watch. They behave something like a tegu in miniature so if you can't have a big tegu the ameiva is perfect.

X2 on everything said their.. designer herps are so overated. most of the time there look is destoyed..

and ameivas are awsome.. had one a few years ago but i never see them anymore

any albino morphs, they just look unatural. Some designer animals, however i think leopard gecko and crested gecko designers look cool.

For me, in my short 19 years of existence, i have gone through several cycles, the amphibian cycle, lizards, geckos, and now currently i am into hognoses, other coulbrids are cool but just to common. I use to breed leopard geckos and cresteds, but basically sold all of them, except my originally hatched male crested and my first reptile i own (leopard gecko 9 years).

I feel aquatic turtles are cool, only if they are in a very life like setup. I have mine with pondfish, pond plants, they usually add some interest to the tank as they go on there daily activities. Tortoises are cool, but i feel they belong in huge enclosures so they can roam around. Iguanas, big lizards, and agamids I have no interests (except tegus or blue tongue skink). Oh yeah newts and small salamanders I have no interest either.

However, my biggest thing is anything that can make a whole room or top floor reek, is not my thing. My friends bearded dragon after every dump smells the whole top of his house. My mom would kill me. Also any big snakes over 4 ft, cleaning up after them is not fun. So their is alot of exceptions to the rules, if its interesting i want to keep it, plus is must be within 5-150 dollars to really spark interest lol.

any of the common herpes bearded dragon, red-tail boa, bp, pretty much anything thats sold at petco (although i did get my red iguana from their). until i get one then they'll be spoiled like the rest of em'
