i would have to say most if not all amphilophus have very good personalitys and ofcourse oscars aswell

Archocentrus centrarchus.

Probably got lucky with the pair I got but they're very personable and they only recognize me. They're wild caught too.

My girlfriends flowerhorn has good personality but I couldn't be without my jag he's my fave

I think the obvious first choice is oscars. I also 2nd buttikoferi ( who cares if its african, the thread doesn't specify location ) my buttikoferi swims to the end of the tank and stares at us while we watch tv.

Depends on the fish and how well it gets to know you. My convicts are just as much of wet pets as my Oscar

I would have to say Red Devils. I think their friendly, passive demeanor facilitates a good bond with their owners and other tank mates.............
