As the title pretty much lays out, I'm wondering what the most personable snake you guys have had is. I'd like something I could theoretically walk around with that would be super comfortable with and maybe even seek out human companionship.

So what, in your experience, likes hanging out and being handled the most? Or at least tolerates it best?

I'm not set on getting one, but I want to replace the space where one of my tanks used to be with some kind of reptile enclosure. Thinking a snake or chameleon. Tryna figure out options.

As always, thanks!

I used to have a ball python that liked to hang out and crawl around my shoulders, neck and arms while I was watching TV. If I was laying on my bed it would slither around the bed and curl up on my chest. Pretty cool snake.

No snake is personable, nor likes to be petted. Some suffer it, some don't.

Nor are they wanting or needing any human interaction.

Not wanting to rain on your parade, though...

Well it's a reptile. I don't exactly expect it to cuddle.

You mentioned human companionship. That is why my reply was negative.

None want human companionship. Not even the most fat and lazy ball python.

Ball pythons, I had mine for 18yrs without any aggression issues, he was very laid back and docile.

Your best bet is a ball python. There are many different cool color morphs that aren't nearly as pricey as they used to be. Children's pythons are another snake that tolerates handling well and are quite hardy.

+1,snakes don't care two shakes about you, they don't like one person over another. Some tolerate human interaction better than others but your never guaranteed anything. That's why their called "snakes"
