hello everyone, just curious on what everyone's favorite playful fish they have. let me elaborate, i was watching black ghost knifefish shoot across the tank swimming in circles and ect, ive also seen groups of tiger barbs swim in a circle like kids playing tag, so overall drop some suggestions on your most playful/ personality filled fish that is fun to watch in your opinion as im interested to know.

For playfulness among themselves i'm sure clown loach are right up there. And the bigger the shoal the better. For playfulness with humans then a lot of people would say cichlids, with the Oscar, in many people's eyes the number one.

When I say playfulness though I use the term loosely because what many hobbyist regard as being playful is often misread, and in actual fact the fish is being terratorial and will probably rather attack you than want to play with you!

Schoolers are always cool to watch if you want fish that interact with each other. And there are many schoolers to choose from. I like watching my giant danios and rainbow fish. They are fast, spunky, and a bit aggressive at times.

My current favorites for interacting with me are my male gt, male flowerhorn, and gsp. All three are fun and engaging.

I like watching my school of 5 black belt silver dollars zip around the tank. They're only about 2" now, should be fun when they're fully grown if they stay just as active.

Had a pair of niger triggers, they would spit water at me if they wanted my attention.

As far as most engaging? Probably a tie between oscars and bluegill, taught one of my bluegill to jump thru a hoop! And if he thought there might be food he'd beg by wagging his body so hard you'd think he would hurt himself, he also enjoyed petting
