Most powerful piranha

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I do remember reading somewhere that pygos had stronger jaws, so I'd have to go with an adult p. piraya. I really can't remember where I read the article though...

Any youtube videos of two piranha fighting each other?

any expierienced piranha keeper will know that.. the rhomb is the most poewrfull of all them... when full grown that is... but each fish is different... ive had rhoms that were not aggressive at all... so some that ya cant go near the tank...
cariba are aggressive aswelll... but they can be kept in groups so there for... the rhombus is the most aggressive... go on p fury there is a guy houseing 2 elongs in the same tank... ive kept many sera and pygo species of piranhas... and the serras are waaay more aggressive

my big 14 inch blue diamond rhomb bit thru the metal frame of a fish net when i first got him... so theres power for ya... ive netted many pygos and they never bit thru metal

what size tank do u have it in?
also what is the habbitat like u keep him in... rember ALL RHOMBS ARE WILD COUGHT... they need min 100 gallons

keeping ANY serra besides a sanchazi in a 20 gal tank is wrong... not nagging just i keep my fish in comfortable quarters... i dont go buy all small tanks and jam whatever in them

i used to thing it was to do with the piranhas personality but just becasue a piranha is skittish with us approaching the tank doesnt mean he wont be mega aggressive with another piranha.
ive heard of biggish rhoms being skittish, but thats with us.put another piranha in their tank and they wouldnt be skitish with each other.

as for jaw power im sure both serra and pygo could easily take a clean chunk out of each other no problem.so doesnt really matter with jaw power at all.were talking about a fish taking a bite out of another fish and not metal, both specie will get the job done.

It all boils down to the individual fish as far as personality/aggressiveness goes and thats the bottom line- now comparing a elong to a rhom is just not right--- major difference in size/weight/body structure... Im guessing most of the people commenting in here havent seen a Monster rhom in person??? If you guys have seen one, that should be your answer---
