my orange pike is my most facinating hunter in my tank, but my dovii is the most agressive hunters.
and what i mean by aggressive is my dovii will not give up the chase till he has his meal or someone els gets it, and he will tear apart his prey. my pike will hide very still under a log till an unexpecting victum comes within striking distance then gulp its gone, very swift and fast.

You have correctly observed their predation traits! Pikes are 'ambush predators' While Dovii are more 'apex' they just kind of own their space.

no problemo man. dovii are more leaned toward the kind i like according to what you guys say. i can't find dovii though :(.

the jags are the next best thing? they are 2 dollars each right now while their still small. so definitely thinking about it for pond critters. if i can find dovii i will consider those too.

whats the maximum size of dovii and jags?

i just read info on this site. is it reliable info? the passage is quick and filled with factual information. is it accurate? especially on sexing where it says males are gray silver and females are yellow tint?

Oscars are just eating machines. But the most predatory cichlid hands down is the King of cichlids Parachromis Dovii. Simply built for the kill. Long slender body for speed and power and teeth so prey cannot escape its bite.

pbass are more predatory ?

whenever i think of bass, i think of the singing fish on the wall. or an american father's idea of "catch of the day"

they are not really a bass. thats just the common name but i would say these are the most predatory. they eat just like oscars but can fit anything in their mouths.of course this is from your list.
