Most shocking video ive ever seen!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Honestly It seems ok for a temporary housing. If sold within a few days, there is no harm done. The water looks clean, and the fish seem healthy and well fed. Hopefully the owners feed the fish a healthier diet though.

Wow! Definitely a LFS. I have seen this too often Hopefully someone purchased them quickly and placed them in a better environment.

That is sad. I will agree about it looking like a lfs set-up but only so very small fish. One of my lfs has the same set-up but only keep small feeders and live plants in them. Those MBU looks like a nice size and healthy looking to even be in such a small box. But still looks terrible keeping them like that even temporary. Another thing that kills me is feeding them goldfish. Mbu will eat a much healthier diet of frozen and other live foods other then a goldfish. Now I myself had fed lionfish goldfishes when I ran out of other other feeders way back but it was a have too case. Where mbu can and will eat all kinds of foods and it is sinceless to feed them goldfish just to get a thrill out of it. Now I have bought alot of SW puffers in the past that was small and sick just to mainly get them back in good health and sold them to people with much bigger tanks. More of a rescue from lfs' I guess you could say.

I think that will do more harm than good. If someone buys them, the pattern will continue and as a fish keeper, I do not want that to happen.
I work at a small pet store that has a few tanks (18), they range from 15-35 gallons (not very large) and it is true, fish do not get the size tank they need, but also, I do not bring in any fish that would be too large for the tank at hand.
This video insults all stores that keeps fish and gives them a bad name.

Not that shocking. It's at an LFS that is clean, probably sells fish like this fairly quick. Better than a lot of fish keepers water quality.

Im not gonna say the most shocking! Things get worse. Ive seen people feed live mice to fish.

Yes many people feed live mice to piranha, thats fine as it there natural diet. That wasnt the bad thing, it was the tank size.

The LFS I was at last night had a lot of fish in tanks similar size. I sat there with a poor Fahaka that kept wanting me to pet it in a tank of that size. I felt so bad and it took everything I had to not take it home but the biggest thing I could put it in for the time being is a 40g breeder :(
