Thanks..have not gotten a definite measurement but would estimate he is give or take 9 inches...

The female you are referring to was descaled by the male and then came down with a bad fungal infection and healed disfigured..... both females are currently in another tank...
 
Awesome progression thread and fish! Should be getting my little group of motas in the next few days. I plan on doing a thread like this as they grow as well!

Awesome looking fish mate, I've never even seen one of those in real life before, they are stunning. That's amazing how that injured female managed to pull through and still function. Awesome to see
 
Thanks for the comments and feedback all....I am hoping he will mellow out enough to breed with one of the females.....stay tuned.....
