Great fish.. I've had my new female about 2 weeks now. About 3ins, very sociable and superb eater. Wolfs down anything offered so far. Not much for colors yet, but doing very well.

Thanks for posting....yes love the appetite and social ,outgoing nature I am seeing also.. And the colors of both male and female...Make it a total package fish .....would like to see your female if you are able to post a pic.....

The other one is a female, it would already have spots by that size if it was a male

Thanks ...I was thinking /hoping that too ,but I know how my wishful thinking may cloud judgement...When I bought the original 1 I felt it was male, bought the next one in the 4 pics ,I felt it could be female but it was large ,so I bought a smaller one(now dead) just in case... Then that second one started really looking male to me,( do juvenile females gain and lose spots as they grow?) the male began relentlessly attacking it and beat it pretty good to the point I thought I might lose it also.... looks as it does now since recovery.... Very happy to see female.....
