we use them in our camper, especially in winter storage. we just open the camper up and let it air out for a day before we go camping and it doesn't smell anymore

:ROFL:I can't believe you thought actual moth balls... they would be little tiny and fury!!! your sick Svang!!!!!

No, they are like 1/2" diameter white balls, kind shiny...and smell very strong.. and yes, are used to keep moths away from your clothes, you know how they leave little tiny holes in your clothes sometimes.. they keep other rodents and such away too .. cause of their strong smell....

You wear them where? Pockets? Armpits? as Earrings, maybe? that's really weird.

No dork!! Just kinda throw them in your closet.. or where ever you keep clothes.. stored away or whatever... I thought everyone knew about mothballs....

is it bad that as soon as i read the title of this thread i immediately thought "I LOVE THE SMELL OF THOSE!!!"? hahaha, but like others have said, i haven't heard of or seen mothballs anywhere for years

Buy him an alternative like a bag of cedar chip or some cedar oil and let him know that you would rather he use that...you can show him how to use them with info from the internet if he is not into computers...
