I think its more likely that a fairy exist > a moth man... neither of which i believe exist in the real world...

Scientifically possibly heck no but there was a guy that did tests on moth genetics or something and people think this is his creation (maybe a mutant from radioactive material he had)

It was thought to be more like a birdlike hominid than an insect. Mothman was, I believe, an old comic book villain whose name was used by a newspaper around the time of the sightings, and it just stuck.

there isn't enough O2 % in our atmosphere for an insect to get overly large even with mutations...
