though Im laughing at your effort here,lol,it truely is a good story,thanks for sharing.SOOOOOOO they realy cant bite,lol.Why have I been afraid of moths before,lol?So they cant hurt you at all?If one bites or stings me some day Im coming after you guys.

Beware of the evil arm-ripping moths though! :eek: They get a meter long! :D
 
Jason your biggest worry when it comes to these guys are their caterpillars. Many of them have stinging spines or irritating hair. But there are plenty of them that are completely harmless. Just look but don't touch! :)
 
First one kind of looks like the cecropia moth I found when I was a kid...it's not one I don't think, but that's what it looked like. Huge moth.
 
I've seen all of these at one point in time. And I know exactly what they are!
-male Cecropia moth
-Virginia-creeper Sphinx moth (I see them every summer, haven't turned into moths yet.)
-.....no clue what that one is
-Luna moth

Some of these large moths are even prettier than butterflies, imo. They're so shocking when you first see them.
