just letting everyone know the ray is back to his old self again, hes bk to eating everything i put in the tank, he even got some of his weight bk, just a little tho. will post pics later so u guys can see him
 
i think its healing pretty good, its still pink but the disk has stopped coming off, i know it will be forever til it grows bk
 
Very GLAD to hear this! Just keep up on your water changes and keep an eye on him..any signs of trouble start babying him again. Dont want him to flip on you later...YAY YOU!!! Hope you share pics as that disk heals..I am curious to see what it does.

glad to hear he is doing better.. JUst keep feeding and fatten him up now.. after awhile, when he has a good fat base and is 100%, his disk will finish healing...
 
ya iam feeding him 3 times a day plus the blackworms so i hope he will get fat here real soon, the dent in his forehead is starting to go away now, so i know hes getting better. plus hes swimming around all over tank now, and hes starting to pounce, but the pounce isn't moving the rocks when he does. but hes trying, all that matters will put pics on tomorrow so u all can see him
 
very cool. im always amazed when it comes to rays, one reason y i have fallen in love with them. still so much not known. i mean alot of rays can die at the blink of an eye. and some times rays can make it back to life when all odds would say other wise. sounds like ur ray loves u. now u have a sweet story to go with it,
makes u wounder, well me anyway, i know rays are very smart but how smart. ur ray wasnt eating for long time, hmm maybe the ray just saw u always doing water changes an trying new foods day and night and time and time again. an the ray finaly said ok ok if u care that much ill take a nibble, now he is back to the normal. lol never know.
lol glad we talked u out of killing it at one time. it def was a stressful journey. congrats on the good work an hope to see updates on the healing. woot woot
 
ty ya iam happy i didn't do what the vet said to do, cause u guys were right he pulled thru, hes not dead till hes dead, my only other prob is, iam moving and iam not sure on the transport, iam going about 45 min away, and iam nervous about the move and draing the tank, iam going fromreg tap water to well water, i bought a max pure mpro machine, and when i set the tank bk up, iam prob gonna have to start with all new water, so iam thinking of setting up a 55 gal to put the rays in for a week while my other tank sits and runs for a week or so, anything ideas i can do to help me out on the transport
