How many rays do you have, a 55 is pretty small for even 1 motoro. I would be very worried about ammonia levels in a 55 as well as the stress on the rays from being in such a confined space. If I where you I would setup the 55, if thats the biggest extra tank you have, at your new place and use it to hold the rays while you setup your larger tank. Once your ray tank is refilled and water up to temp dose the water with a conditioner and move the rays over after an few hours.
If I remember one of your other posts right you have canister filters correct? If so be sure to keep them filled, I know its easier to move them empty but you will kill all your bacteria if you drain them and then you will have to recycle your tank.
Be very careful to aclimate the rays to there new water conditions, your likely to have a different PH, possibly very different, going from city to well water, you dont want to put them into shock.
As far as transport, a large plastic storage bin from homedepot is what I usually use for moving rays around, just make sure to get the good sturdy ones that wont break from the water's weight. Make sure they have plenty of water, and keep them warm. Maybe put some heat pads under it.
Might also want to take this opertunity to ditch that gravel you have in the ray tank, maybe switch to sand or just go bare bottom, Torpedo Beach sand from CaribSea is what i use in my 210G with rays, best sand I have tried for rays so far. Just a suggestion.
