ok well last August I went to the dark side after 5 years of supersport riding and bought a Harley Davidson vrod, the AKA performance cruiser. Very nice bike, loved it at first but now its played out. This or next week I am going to be buying an 07 Suzuki GSXR750. I need to get back into it. This is really just a post and of u want to leave comments your welcome to but I'm really just blabbing. -mike

(Although I must admit, the Vrod is a hot looking cruiser. It'll probaly be the bike that I get once I get too old to ride real bikes)

I had a 2000 Gixxer 750 till I sold it last year. Heard the new R6 is a real handler (it certainly is a looker). Might give that a go.

Congrats on the new bike, from all reports, its a ripper.

I just despise yamaha and that bike isnt as good as it was hyped up to be. Either get the new 600rr which is going to be insane this year or a gixxer!;)
 
It's weird hearing you guys call crotch rockets "real bikes". I was raised around bikers, but they were the Harley/bobber/chopper crowd. Not bustin on you guys. I just find it strange is all. If that's what you like then go for it. I must admit, they have a blacked out 1300 Busa at the HD dealer here that looks sick.
 
PM the price on a 600. I'd prefer Suzuki but wouldn't mind an RR. Leftovers are fine too.
 
R1 all the way! gotta be a big bore bike, i work in the industry so i get the chance to ride them all and i gotta say the 600RR SUCK AZZ!!! big rolling rocks, same as i feel about the 1000RR not sure what Honda was thinking when they made these bikes. they look cool but ride like crap. GSX-R's are over rated, fast yes! but to much hype. wounder why ya see 80% of the bikes are GSX-R's not cuz there the best bike but Suzuki has the EASYEST financing avail so any shmo get get a loan for one. Yamaha has it together with there R1 i have yet to see a stock 1000 smoke it. and Kawi is a whole nother story. :headbang2 :ROFL:

tho i did have a ZX7R for a few years it was a tank stock but after going through it and taking alot of crap off, i also sent the head out to Muzzy and had it comepletly revalved and cammed, after that and a full Micron exhaust and geared it was out of control not a in town rider anymore. only out on the hwy was it a fun bike. it just had WAY to much power for stop light to stop light, but i loved the burping cam. had to throw on a Hyperpro steering dampner or the tank slappers would get bad.

no matter what ya ride as long as your rideing and getting that freedom thats al that matter's

...... I agree though that's why I sold my R1. I've always been a Jixer fan ever since owning an 87 & 91 Jixer. My wife surprised me with the R1 as a present and after keeping it for a bit I felt selfish so I sold the R1 and bought a new Toyota 4-Runner. This way the whole family can enjoy it =-)

This place is operated by Carrie Andrews who use to be the chief mechanic for Team Yoshimura among others. He's branched of and started his own team HYPERCYCLE. He's also won several UFO bike build offs. He's top notch when it comes to Jixer motors. Every now and then he has SuperBikes 4-Sale or has access to them. Check him out....

Next summer you should plan a trip out here. He has sessions @ Willow Springs Raceway.
We can get on the track and really get the rip Shiet up...LOL
