Areation should slow the breathing rate to half its present rate. If it does not I would suspect your ray has gill flukes or another parasite.

I first notice the problem on the other fishes so I don't think there is any problem with my ray.

I will not rest until he is breathing half of the speed

I think it is a big improvement, keep in mind that he is searching for food now and not resting.

looks a lot better than before.. my buddy got a ray a few months ago and the only time it was close to breathing that hard was if something scared it or messed with it... good thing ya got it figured out tho..

hehe, you were correct. Today he found out what a great massage the bubbles was, he spent hours hovring over the bubbles. I can not consider my stingray to be a bottom dweller any more
