My Motoro was purchased small, and I want to bulk him up. I need opinions on my fishes diet. Here's what I am going with:

Chopped Salmon fillets
Chopped peeled and tailess shrimp
Krill
Bloodworms

Also will be supplementing these foods with garlic additive, and will be feeding live ghost shrimp when they are available. Thoughts?

Sounds good. Be careful with the salmon though because it can very oily in your tank. I would also add chopped earthworms in there. I got mine in may when it was like 4" and now it is 6". I mostly feed earthworms, shrimp, and any type of white fish that I have laying around (sturgeon, halibut, tilapia). I also feed it frozen mosquito fish that I catch by the hundreds out of the river by my house.

Sounds good, question is how often will you be feeding? 2 - 3 times a day? Number of feedings in addition to water change schedule is the key to bulking up any ray IMO

Feedings are twice a day. Water changes are 80% weekly. The foods I mentioned aren't the only foods offered, but constitute the bulk of what I am feeding.

Might cut out bloodworms and substitute with earthworms/red worms..

i agree blood worms wont really bulk the ray up... and if your feeding shrimp i would avoid the krill...

why such large water changes?

Keeps the water clean. All the tanks get that, it keeps nitrates low.
