Hey guys:

Just thought i would share this with you. I have had my male motoro two weeks now, i was told the wholesaler who had him was feeding him from their hands, well I now have had sucess with him eating out of my hand.

Really kool, he is very gentle when he takes the food.

Will post some pics soon as soon as i can find my camera!! LOL

Regards Novaman

pretty cool man and I am sure you are careful but ya never know if it gets spooked somehow

Keep that up! I honestly and personally think that if you do get stung, its worth it. Ofcourse if your careful, its highly unlikely.

Worst case scenario, a trip to the hospital, for some medicine and injections (a few hours) vs. month/years of happiness :D

Also be careful to not startle them, thats the biggest chance that u might get stung.

how many ray keepers have been stung with drastic consequences ? im still waiting to hear of one myself although ive seen a few threads with people who know someone who was stung. there is the odd picture of a small sting here and there i think but personally not seen anything that said i was stung a few months ago and look at the damage now ! type thing.

point me in the right direction if im wrong ( and dont say steve irwin unless you are regularly in the the tank swimming above your rays ! )

I never heard of any long time effects of getting stung. But I do hear from everyone I have talked to it was the worst pain they have ever been in. It not like a bee sting like some might think or anywhere close. I hear it is very very painful. Just be cautious and I wouldn't do it too often if I were you. It's a very cool thing though, a fish eating from your hand.
