Motoro (how big till mature?)

Like the thread asks? I'm wondering what about is the ave. size disk that a male motor has to ahve to be fully mature?

I know it's not the disk that makes them mature but the claspers. but I'm wondering if the two coincide?

I've got a 8" male that's fully mature and I'm wondering if that's normal.

seems like they are showing up mature at smaller sizes lately.


out of curiousity was yours captive breed or wild caught? might help to figure the riddle out in the future.

Yes I have heard that that males can mature at 8in. I have a WC marble that is 10-11 in and he is not matured yet. he is in the tank with females.

I believe you can tell when the male's "Claspers" are rolled. I believe there are some members here with some pictures to help.

As for my male motoro, he is almost mature as his claspers are starting to roll, and get this, he is only 8" too at the most 9"! (Disk wise of course)
