Id feed carnivore instead of massivore to a small ray, then work your way up to massivore as he grows. Both are a great staple diet....
Massivore's in for the other fish , the rays are eating it, although i find it does get soft quite fast and break down once in the water for 10-15minutes.

I've noticed the motoro get a little fat near the tail , do i need to be carefull of it overfeeding? Or do they stop when they are full?

New tank's going to be setup soon soo at least i can target the rays without the poly's etc being in with them

are two motoros eat a mix of sticks, gold, and carnivore, with shrimps treats here and there, but they'll both eat about anything including other tank mates.

I bought a 2lbs bag of smelts for $6.Looked at the nutritional value and its all pretty much the same as massivore for a fraction of the price,

plus its more natural and i noticed my henleis went darker and colors got nicer with the smelts

chopped up and rinsed well.

x2, I've had a 5"er grab a massivore pellet before the bigger ray could and got the pellet stuck in it's mouth for half an hour. I thought it would soften up and break up but eventually I had to catch him and flip him over to remove the pellet from his mouth.

I'm currently feeding on hikari massivore, and prawns as a treat. What's smelt and where do you get them from!?

In aus. i have no idea... It is a small fish, similar to anchovies. I personally feed anchovies and smelt to my rays. It can be found in the US, at Asian markets.

i feed sinking carnivoe until the ray hits 12 inch then start a mix or carnivore and massivore

I did the soaking trick. Massivore was easy...having more trouble with the nls 10mm pellets. i think its harder than massivore. They eat it after awhile though, just takes longer.
