Motoro pregnant - questions

Hello,
I have noticed my Motoro female to be pregnant about a month ago. I have no idea when the pregnancy started though.
About 2 weeks ago it was obvious as I could see ambrio movements easily.
In the past 2-3 days my male started being more aggresive towards her.

1. How can I tell when the litter is about to happen? Are there any signs just before she gives bearth?
2. Should I take out the male? How problematic is it to keep him around?

regular motoro usually go about 100 days or so, since this maybe her first litter, it may go shorter as she is probably not carrying too many pups. So I would expect 90-95 days. If the male is going after her again, it maybe very soon, as the male would love to hit her again. You can leave the male, just remove the pups. if you do leave the male, he may do her again. Thats not a problem, but guys usually separate after a 2nd or 3rd litter just to give her a break. best of luck, lets see some pics when you can.
 
how frequent is the movement, normally you start to see movement at day 60 and it becomes more frequent the closer it gets. Remove the pups as soon as they are born, sometimes adults will attack them. Take all the water out of your tank that the female gives birth in (it keeps the pups healthier)

The frequency of the movements is quite high (as much as I can tell). Whenever she is standing still, I could see movements that I can say are not part of the mom's activity.

TB, What did you mean by taking out the water from the mom's aquaium? I guess to the tank of the new borns?
Well I have improvized a floating bucket in the parent aquarium - which should give protection with exact same conditions as after birth.

I will post some pictures.

use tank water from your main tank in the tank for the pups....

best bet would be to plumb another tank directly to your main tank...
 
that will be perfect...
