thanks all for the kind remarks! i'm still very happy with the surprise! i'm cycling a new 1000g pond for her and others..she's in a 675g aquarium now (10x3x3)..i will split her up from the males for a awhile and give her a rest..the males have been rather brutal..the pups are doing well..havent actually seen them eat but the worms disappear so they're going somewhere! thanks again for the kind words..

my female surprised me tonite with the birth of 3 pups! its my first batch (not her first) and i'm very happy! i privately wondered as i thought i could see movement in her rear areas..her previous batch was 11 but 3 is cool for my first!

the 2 males in with her are already clamped on her, not giving her a break at all..

where in the north pole are you exactly from?
