So have been thinking of taking my 75 gallon down and using it as a saltwater tank.
But what to do with my angels that are in the tank.....

I have a 5" motoro ray in a tank by himself. Its a 93 gallon cube tank.
What do you guys thing of the Ray and the Angels being in the same tank together.
Does anyone have angels in with their rays and if so, any problems?
My angels have other tank mates in with them and they dont seem to bother anyone, but being in with a ray is different..

Let me know what you think

Thanks

Ya, I know if I put them in with my larger ray, they will become a snack, but I figured putting them into the pup tank with the 5" Motoro, they have a better chance in not becomming food for the ray.
About a month or so ago, I bought three 30x30 tanks. Turned one into a coral reef tank, and kept two just for pup tanks. The one I have in the living room has my 5" motoro I got a few months back.(felt sorry for him when I saw him at my locak LFS) Thats all thats in the tank. I know putting them in with my larger rays wouldnt work, but thought maybe I could get away with putting them in this pup tank. Since the only size rays that will ever be in these tanks are 4" to ?", was wondering if it would work to have angels in with them.
I was more worried about the angels messing with the rays, than I was the rays eating the angels. These tanks are set up only because I have mature rays that should be breeding and putting out pups soon and wanted to be ready. I have two tanks just like the one below. Rt now, one has some community fish in it to keep it cycled. When I have pups, Its only for them. As soon as they are ready to go into their own tank, thats were they will end up for awhile till strong and healty enough to either sale or move into my other tanks. This tank in the pic is for the 5" one I got and also will be used if I get a large litter or need more room if I have to many to put into the first tank.

I don't have any rays but I do have angels and haven't ever seen them messing with any fish. Even when spawning they just chase other fish away.

that is what I was hoping. thanks

well I was hoping that since he is just a pup, he wouldnt be able to get the angels. Guess Ill have to do some thinking on this...
I know that when I first got the angels, I put them into a ray tank with Motoros that were about 8" and that didnt work. So I guess Ill just have to stick with my original plan and get another tank, put in the bed room and put my wifes angels in. Then turn my 75 gallon into the salt tank I want it to be.
